If you're planning a trip to Walt Disney World and looking for a unique vacation experience, consider staying at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. This popular campground offers over 700 campsites for RVs, tents, and rental units, as well as a variety of amenities and activities for guests to enjoy.

One of the highlights of staying at Fort Wilderness is the natural setting. The campground is surrounded by lush greenery and wildlife, and guests can see deer and armadillos roaming around the grounds. This provides a peaceful and serene atmosphere that's a nice change of pace from the hustle and bustle of the theme parks.

Sample Campsite:

Semi-private campsites with cement slabs, water, electric (30 and 50 amp) as well as sewer.

In terms of amenities, Fort Wilderness has a lot to offer. There's a pool and hot tub for guests to cool off in (it also is heated in the winter), playgrounds, and bike rentals for children and families. For those looking for a little adventure, the campground also offers horseback riding, archery, and campfire sing-alongs. The campground also has its own marina where guests can rent boats or go on a guided fishing excursion.

When it comes to dining, Fort Wilderness has a variety of options available. The campground has a general store where guests can purchase groceries and supplies and several dining options, such as the Whispering Canyon Cafe, Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and Trail's End Restaurant. These options include a food court, a pizzeria, and a sit-down restaurant. There are also several snack carts and a grocery store for supplies.

When it comes to accommodations, Fort Wilderness offers a variety of options for every budget. Guests can choose from a traditional tent site, an RV site, or one of the campground's fully furnished rental units. These units come with amenities such as air conditioning, a kitchenette, and a private bathroom.

Some guests have also noted that the campground can get quite crowded during peak season, and the RV sites can be pretty close together. However, many have also commented that the staff is friendly and helpful and that the campground is generally very clean and well-maintained.

In general, many RVers have had a positive experience staying at the RV sites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. They have found them spacious, well-maintained, and well-located, with easy access to theme parks and various amenities and activities.

We recently were able to experience our first trip to the Fort Wilderness Campground and loved it. There are so many experiences that are offered. We only stayed 3 days and went to the parks but could only experience some of the campgrounds has to offer. We were able to enjoy the outdoor movie night with a bonfire. We already booked our next trip to Fort Wilderness without park passes so we could enjoy the amenities more.

There are few parking areas around the campgrounds, so you will need to take either the bus or rent a golf cart (rentals available upon request) to get from your campsite to the dining areas or pools. If you shop around for various weekends, you can find more affordable sites than peak season, so keep playing with the number of days and dates to find a booking that suits your budget.

Here at One Adventure, we offer our RV rental and delivery to Disney’s Fort Wilderness but require at least a 1-week rental for any deliveries (weekend to weekend). We do set everything up, so all you need is the booking, sheets, food, and electronics.

In conclusion, Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground is an excellent option for those looking for a unique Disney vacation experience. The natural setting and variety of activities and amenities make it an excellent choice for families and nature lovers. With various accommodation options and dining, it can cater to any budget.
